Bloomington Heritage Days’ goal is to build a stronger community through the promotions of celebrations, educational programs, citizen volunteerism and the preservation of community. The BHD festival is a two day event held the third weekend in September with activities, contests, shows and live entertainment. Dozens of civic organizations, businesses, community groups and hundreds of volunteers are involved in the planning of Bloomington Heritage Days.
THERE IS NO ENTRY FEE FOR THE FESTIVAL. All of the necessities and most of the professional entertainment, activities and shows are funded through sponsorships. There are a few fee-based activities and events: main act on the main stage, trampolines, animals, henna tattoos, food, etc.
Bloomington Heritage Days festival is located on returns to the grounds of Nativity of Mary church, 9900 Lyndale Ave S. Thank you to Nativity for supporting Bloomington Heritage Days!
Finding parking near by can be a challenge. Free off-site Park ‘N Ride shuttle service is available starting at 9:30am from Normandale Community College.
