Parade Information

The annual Bloomington Heritage Days parade will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 10:30 a.m.

Who will be in the parade? YOU! To participate in the parade the only requirement is that you register. Registration will open at 10 a.m. on April 2 and is based on a first come first serve basis. Residents, organizations, neighborhoods, schools, churches and businesses are all invited.

Spectators should set up and sit along 102nd Street between 3rd Avenue and Harriet Avenue.

Parade Route
Parade travels west along 102nd Street beginning at 3rd Avenue S (east of Nicollet, south of 98th St), to Harriet Ave.

Specific planned closures of certain blocks of 3rd Avenue S. and 102nd Street will be closed during specific times which were reviewed and approved by City of Bloomington staff, consistent with applicant’s permit.

There will be no parking on Harriet north of 102 Street until parade traffic has cleared.

Finding parking nearby can be a challenge. Free off-site Park ‘N Ride shuttle service is available starting at 9:30 a.m. from Normandale Community College or Kennedy High School.
